i was looking through all the crypto projects earlier that i'm either playing with or staked in and while i've got a good handle on them all and have them under reasonable lock and key it does require me to "remember" to keep up to date on them.
while i have them often "fav'd" as a crypto coin on an app/portfolio some of them, especially governance tokens i'm not so alert too, once i start adding "LP" tokens to the mix it get's real messy and you end up trusting too many sites to your metamask or similar wallet -- don't get me started on how many main nets you have to understand and software to update and keep aware of issues etc.
which makes me think in the coming years we will probably see a bit more hand holding software, the fiat to crypto gateways are already doing this work i've noticed, for instance ramp.network is a really nice polished onramp for getting crypto in and they have done a lot of the UI/UX work required to make a brand new user feel really confident that the money load will work properly.
i think we will see the same for these blockchain games and defi projects, they have working alpha/best versions up, next stage is to "pretty them up" and start building in education and helpers. i see a massive market place for this especially when it comes to being able to use these stores of value.
this morning i was playing around with a wallet that also connects to about twelve other networks, in a few clicks i'd exported my private keys and staked from there instead of a desktop app that while i like to use and i like their mobile app, it's become a bit of a single function device (think watches in the 80's)
while it's not always WISE to use a piece of software that can do many things, in the crypto world, have less places to go too, lots of different pieces of software, keeping it consildated for these smaller projects means i can manage it better, i don't have to be updating multiple apps and software.
software that allows me to add in my hardware wallet as well, even better, and i think that's what i'm getting at, i see the world of finance totally changing already because of defi -- being able to get loans against your collateral, in the real world (tm) you'd have to have an address, bank account and probably photo id.
look at projects like splinterlands, the more blockchains they supported the bigger the net the project cast, the interface and game is incredibly well polished and designed, easy to use. the blockchain activity operates behind the scenes and the updates are pushed to the interface and page you are on. feels solid, reliable.
while have projects like hive ping, a pubsub clone that will use the hive blockchain for it's notifications and push updates i can see an almost like push service, AI enhanced that will keep an eye on your whole crypto portfolio and make suggestions. i'd love a service like that.
