This is potentially a loaded question, but I still want to try and tackle it because I recently cemented my own goals for participating in our little social blockchain project.
Well Steemit is far from little and neither is the importance of your time and for many, money that 10s of thousands of people across the world spend blogging, curating, and commenting.
Time is one thing you will never get back, so why do you spend it on Steemit?
I feel like so many people avoid saying their main motivation is making money and eventually generating life changing wealth! Wealth leads to financial freedom and thats something everyone deserves.
Being able to live my life by their own rules motivated by only stimuli that give me purpose is what made me spend hundreds of ours blogging.
Although I saw nothing wrong with the motivation to make money, I noticed that Steemit became more of a stressor I added to my already full plate of "life"! I found myself spiraling into a love hate relationship with Steemit, which was mainly fueled by my frustrations of not having enough sp to be heard.
Ever since I managed to power up to a dolphin and my year and half long goal was achieved, I almost had a one eighty with my outlook on this community.
I think that because I never had to worry about "not having enough", Steemit became more of a source of relief than a stressor, which leads me to ask how detrimental is having a goal of only making money on Steemit going to effect your experience?
For me, the stress of becoming a dolphin wasn't conducive to anything positive or worth wile, which reflected in my work and opinion of the platform.
I am only one individual and I'm curious what your goals are for being on Steemit, as well as your experiences so far in the community!
Until next time, this has been a message from your friendly neighborhood #spiderblogger!
