Those of us who are long-term builders, are here to create content which will live on the blockchain and help this platform grow. We're not here to collect some fast tokens and then dip out at the next pump, but are active builders who've recognized each other over the years.
While I hope some of those Hive veterans were able to take some profits from this recent pump, I'm also confident that they're not going anywhere anytime soon. People like these are the backbone of the community, and in this moment, I couldn't be happier for them.
I've been able to blog on a daily basis for the first time in awhile now, and I'm pleased with the results. Sticking to the discipline daily posting allows me to exercise the mind so that it stays in shape. Kind of like getting on that Peleton, and riding away to better health.
Your creative mind needs to be exercised in order to exorcise the mental numbness that creeps along when the brain lies fallow. Mental weeds start to grow in the folds, which make it harder to come up with that next original post.
AI, while a useful tool, can eat away at the creativity of a blogger who relies on it too much. We've all seen those posts that scream "AI wrote me!" because they read that way.
There's a certain characterlessness (is that a word? it is now!) that accompanies those who are so reliant on AI that they fail to develop their own unique "voice" as a blogger.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: The best way to become a better writer, is to keep writing.
It's true.
By committing to publishing a blog post a day, I find that article ideas come to me fast5er as a result of my recent work. I feel like a band member attending regular rehearsals. The more we play, the tighter we sound.
Reading about The Beatles (my favorite musical group), and how they had to play for HOURS each day while living in Germany, made them better singers, songwriters, and musicians.
They originally started out playing cover songs from other artists, but were forced to craft their own compositions in order to help fill the hours of time they were expected to play each day.
And that's what I'm picking up now. Once I finish a blog post, I begin thinking about the next one.
So throughout the day, I open myself to be inspired by the things that are happening around me, as well as discoveries made online. Not taking time off trains me hit the "keyboards" and start playing.
So my advice to aspiring bloggers is; it doesn't have to be perfect, but to get into the habit of writing something each and every day. Even if you don't hit 'Publish' on each attempt, the very act of putting digital pen to paper, will make you a better blogger over time. So get started now.
