I went to the market yesterday and found this blue obsisian heres some facts about blue obsidian
1.Obsidian has been used across history to make weapons, implements, tools, ornaments, and mirrors. Because of its conchoidal fracture (smooth curved surfaces and sharp edges), the sharpest stone artifacts were fashioned from obsidian. Native Americans and many other peoples, including those of the ancient Aztec and Greek civilizations, used obsidian.
2.Some of the best-known occurrences of obsidian are at Mount Hekla in Iceland, the Eolie Islands off the coast of Italy, and Obsidian Cliff in Yellowstone National Park, U.S. Most obsidian is found in association with volcanic rocks and forms the upper portion of rhyolitic lava flows, though it can also occur as thin edges of dikes and sills.
3.Obsidian stones are sometimes used as semiprecious stones because of their attractive and variegated colors.
4.Obsidian is an igneous rock occurring as a natural glass that is formed by the rapid cooling of viscous lava from volcanoes.
Its really cool !
