About this Tree
This is a #ginkgo tree. It was donated/traded to me because I gave someone else a tree. Bartering is great isn't it?
Ginkgo is rumored to be lucky, and a good tree to own if you want to have lots of money. It doesn't grow money, but it supposedly attracts fortune and wealth if you take good care of it. I often see it planted around wealthy districts and shopping centers.
This tree is less than 1 year old, and these are the first leaves. The person who gave it to me told me it reproduces in a strange way from some kind of a pod that grows along the trunk or branches. When it drops from the mother tree, it is already a living tree embryo. Not the same as a seed, exactly, however I'll reference this as a seed-grown tree in my collection notes to keep things simple.

I really do want people to interact here so we can possibly make some new friends and followers. It seems like my active community is dwindling lately even though my number of followers is increasing, so I thought these contests might help spur some new activity and interest from folks who enjoy #trees and #bonsai, among my favorite topics to post about.
