Eric Clapton is another artist that uses a lot of guitar. Perhaps his greatest hit was with the band Cream, "Sunshine of Your Love." Its got an interesting repeating vocals, and a catchy guitar riff and some heavy drums and bass, then rockign chorus repeating the title of the song.
One of Clapton's hits that gets played a lot cause people like love songs is "Wonderful Tonight"
"Lay Down Sally" is another bluesy rocking song with Sheryl Crow.
Pretty nice there are full concerts on youtube like the following:
I caught Clapton a few years ago when he came through town and had Robert Cray open for. "Crossroads" is another well known Clapton hit.
Clapton also played with some big names at least two Beatles, George Harrison and John Lennon and BB King among many others.
"Tears in Heaven" is a song of loss and another well known Clapton song.
"Layla" is another rocking hit of Claptons of his signature leading guitar lines and cool instrume3ntals.
Clapton also covered "I Shot the Sheriff" popularized by Bob Marley.
My favorite Clapton song is a great song for partying and enjoying one's limited time on this rock. It discusses an interesting stimulant one can use to party all night while drinking like a whale perhaps "Cocaine"
