When I left work on Friday, the Boston Common was awash with flowers and fresh buds. I thought, how nice, it feels a bit like Spring!
Even Edgar Allen Poe Square was full of flowering branches.
By Monday, things were already lush and green. BOOM! Summertime! (Sorry Springtime fans. You blinked and you missed it!)
The sports fields, for those who are interested in playing sports on fields, now have a covering of grass instead of mud (or snow). (Which reminds me that I'll be spending my weekends mowing the lawn, soon...)
How cool a commute is this?
Even the dead are enjoying the change. Presumably. (I mean, it's not like I could ask them.)
Most exciting of all... snacks!
If it's warm enough for lemonade, you just know things are going to be fine. Also, there'll be a hot-dog vendor not far from here. Or one of those sausage guys. Peppers and onions please...
Hard to believe that this was the scene less that two months ago:
No thanks. Some people claim to love the changing seasons, but as far as I'm concerned, the only thing winter is good for is making people feel happy when it's over. And maybe photography.
How is Spring coming along in your town?
