fresh of the books from the heads over at botz, loving these battles, definitely room for more. i love me some king of the dot production level but these are straight fire too, great video, audio quality and even a ‘chicken dinner bar’ in the first round. gaming and rap certainly goes together, it’s all entertainment, they cross over easily. i’ve been watching these cats for years, doing their thing making that paper wherever, switching it up digitally and getting those views, getting that march out there and going in on podcasts and all the bits that build up that remote audience. props to em, doing their thing.
i was digging the flow of robo, not so bothered about the racial stuff from ohmz or his delivery, too fast, too rushed, like he’s desperate to get the bars off quick, but then if robo had some of ohmz pace and aggressive in parts then that would make him better too. overtime watching battle rap you really start to appraise what makes a good battle rap - cadence, delivery, bars, relevancy, name flips, rebuttals. it’s a damn science, it’s way way more than just a few people in the street or at an event spitting bars at each other, it’s a whole eco (ego?) system, get involved.

also i wanted to write a little bit about king of the dot as well as they have recently started using patreon (https://www.patreon.com/KOTDTV) in what i consider a super smart deployment. i love what they have done with their 'levels' -- this means that the existing audience they have built up brings in more 'residuals' each month and gives them a better buffer for getting stock on merch, paying up for events, bringing more funds in for the battlers and such like without the mystery or worry of 'getting paid' or having enough - super smart way of doing it.
