We all understand trade... right?
Anyone who has an interest in crypto currency also has some idea of trade. Taking one product or concept and exchanging it for another.
We see this on the exchanges - prices are always changing as confidence in various coins go up and down.
That guy who traded a red paperclip for a house.
Sometimes, people are willing to trade something slightly more valuable for the item you are offering. They do this for various reasons. We've heard the "one man's garbage is another man's treasure." It's true - if you possess something unique that someone else desires, you can trade it for something else that is also highly desired by a wider number of people.
Then there is @kylemacmac (yes, he's on steemit!) who traded a red paperclip to more valuable items (and services) until he finally was able to trade for a house!
This series of transactions demonstrates the power of trade - with enough dedication, enthusiasm and connections, you can continually upgrade your trades indefinitely.
Perceived Value
There is no doubt that Bitcoin has value, but it differs in people's minds. For example, Bitcoin is very valuable for the people who have invested in it and know it's value, but for people who don't have or know much about Bitcoin? Who cares? If you stood out on a street and offered either FIVE Bitcoin or FIVE hundred dollar bills... guess which one most will choose?
You have something valuable you can trade.
It's a bit of a secret, but I'll tell it to you now. The thing everyone has that's free to us but valuable to others is....
Yes, your attention is actually worth something. It is possible to TRADE your attention for Bitcoin. It requires nothing but a little of your time.
Marketers want your ATTENTION.
There's only so much attention to go around. The marketers for every new coin or product or service wants to hog all the attention. They will go to extraordinary lengths to grab as much attention as they can.
They will even trade for it.

What is Steem Bounty?
Steem bounty is a way of rewarding interaction on steemit posts.
80% of the bounty is distributed according to the votes from the bounty creator. If the creator votes for more than one comments the relative %-age of the vote determines the distribution. In other words, bounty creators vote with their %-age sliders. This is to allow the bounty creator to disperse most of the bounty and give him or her a very simple way to select how much to give to each contributor.
20% or the rest of the bounty is determined by votes of everyone else that voted on the comments. The weight of each vote is hereby determined via the "rshares" or the effective vote values as they are displayed by steemit (those $ amounts you see next to the votes).
Thank you for YOUR attention!

Bless the Most High!
