NYC Changes Are Afoot With Taste Of Spring And Early Summer
Good morning everyone. We are almost out of this unseasonably cool weather, and there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Our pattern is shifting and signs continue to support what I've been seeing since April, which is a big breakout for mid-month. Just remember though, it won't be 100% perfect because everything is still moving rather quickly, but at least we are warmer. In some cases, way warmer.

Expect another cool one tomorrow, but it won't feel as bad with winds relaxing. Highs again will hover around the 60 mark with dry & sunny conditions.
On Thursday, warmer air begins to push our way, but we're not quite there yet. Clouds will increase ahead of the airmass, and we could have a few showers overnight. Highs during the day will be 65-70, and more along the lines of what we'd expect this time of year.
Friday looks like a very mild to warm one depending on the sunshine. With that fast-moving pattern continuing, showers will be a threat throughout the day, but they'll be scattered in variety. Right now we'll stick with the 75-80 degree forecast, but we could poke a little higher if there are less clouds and more sunshine.
Saturday remains the best looking day of the bunch, with sunny skies, light winds, and 75-80 degree temps.
More clouds and maybe a few showers come back to visit on Sunday, and we'll also cool off to near-Average temps with highs in the low 70's.
More warm air tries to push back on Monday, and that'll probably be our transition day with more upper 60's to low 70's with a few showers. We'll be keeping a close eye on Tuesday through Thursday to see how far the warm air advances north. As of now, Tuesday has the potential to be another 75-80 degree day, and Wed/Thur may go 80-85 away from the south-facing shores.
This time of year, whenever we have a warm day in the forecast, a developing Seabreeze is something we have to take into consideration as far as who sees what and when as far as warmth.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
