Ok Google. I want a businnes. What to do?
If everything were that simple, then everyone around would be successful businessmen😅
Sometimes I am asked where to start, what documents, what kind of strategy is this and what it is eaten with. And no matter how much I want to help, I will never explain how it is necessary to 100% 😅 To understand me, you need to try and gain experience. I think it is more valuable than any education🙌🏻
I'm not the best entrepreneur in the world and I'm not sure if there is one, but I know something)
What advice would I give myself a couple of years ago?
1️⃣ Go to work in any institution and advance there for a couple of career steps, and only then do your business. Lord, how much money would it save me😂🤦🏼♀️
2️⃣ Explore the market. Look at point 1 and get a job somewhere)) Look at what your competitors are doing, write down their pros and cons in a notebook. Make a plan in which you take the good and correct the bad. Think of how you stand out from the competition, some cute features. By the way, "quality" is not a distinctive feature, but what should be in your product automatically))
3️⃣ Write down the standards. The work standards of the barista, pastry chef, purchasing manager, cleaner, smmmler, how the shift opens and closes. Everything that you can describe clearly point by point - describe it. And most importantly, control the execution. This is what I am doing now for my new brand 🙏🏻 In the Latte I had everything spelled out, but I did not control the implementation in any way, for which I often flew))
4️⃣ Come up with a motivation system and don't be a sidekick to your team. All of you have heard the story about the dismissal of the entire staff of my pastry chefs) and who has not heard .. I can write a separate post😁 (write it or not)) My main mistake is over-worrying about the team, caring and doing work instead of them. Someone appreciated it, and someone sat on the neck. Make a salary system with motivation. Standard rate plus bonuses for completing goals. The perfect team is a dream come true, but let's be honest, what percentage of EVERYONE on the team will be perfect?)
- Count your money. Here is a small continuation from point 4. I wanted to create a comfortable working environment for the team. Showcase shelf? I will buy. New grinder? Already ordered. Broken inventory? Now I'll get the money out of my pocket and fix it. I have a whole list of "badly needed bullshit", which was used at most 1 time after purchase. Think 10 times before buying something :)
