In January this year, Asifa was kidnapped while riding a horse in the valley of Kathua. According to the case filed in the court, Sanjeev Ram, the custody of retired government officials and goddess temples for kidnapping a child named Asifa, ordered his nephew and a policeman. After implementing the order, a group of Hindu men have been arrested for seven days in the temple and raped by Asifa. He was stoned to death and pressed to death. Indian court charges eight people for Asif's rape and murder. The chargesheet was brought to the public on April 10 in the case filed in mid-January. Although there was no excitement in January, after the charge sheet in this incident, the whole country became vocal about Bollywood.
Asifa's father told the court that he had asked for the removal of the case from J & K to Chandigarh. The accused also petitioned for the transfer of the crime branch from the state police crime branch to CBI for the investigation. In the filing of the petition, on 27 April, the Supreme Court of India adjourned the hearing of the ongoing trial in the sessions judge's court till 7 May. A three-member Bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Misra said this decision. The hearing of the case on Monday again began in the Supreme Court.
On Sunday (May 6th) Asifa's father said on the phone of the Indian media PTI that she has full confidence in the judiciary. Peace will not exist until the justice is established for the girl.
Asifa's mother told NDTV, "If they get released, they will kill us if they can take revenge on them without getting them out." People from four villages pursued us. We are only four people. All is finished; Our house, our entire property has been destroyed. '
Asifa's family wants the investigation to continue from the crime branch of the state police. But all eight accused have already filed a petition in the court to give the CBI the charge of investigating the case. Asifa's mother alleged that local politicians are making pressure to give the CBI the responsibility to investigate the case to save the accused. He said, "When we first complained, if the police took measures, then the child would have been saved. But they were sitting quiet for seven days. '
It is to be noted that the charges of kidnapping, rape and murder were lodged in the crime branch of State Police Crime Branch. It has been said that this incident took place in a planned way to eradicate minority nomad communities from the area. In the complaint, Sanjim Ram, the caretaker of the Goddess Temple, has been mentioned as the main conspirator. In addition to Sanjeev Ram, a special case has been lodged against Special Police Officer Deepak Khajuria and Surinder Verma, Sanjeev Ram's friend Parvesh Kumar, Sanjir Bhatija (teenage criminal) and son of Sunaji. In the complaint, the investigation officer and chief constable Tilak Raj, sub-inspector Anand Dutta are also named. There are allegations that they destroyed the evidence of crime with Sanjeev Rama with a bribe of 4 lakh rupees. The eight accused have been arrested.
