There are two ways you can make it on steemit. One is by using bots, which is efficient, but not nice. The other is by joining communities and creating content together, which can bring real growth and worth.
Steemit does not have the best search options possible, but when you search a particular word the first result that pops up in most cases is the category created by that word. So if you write about horses, you can find the people that are already doing this and join the conversation. These interactions are the way you can build a following that is interested in the subjects you write about.
Although a search engine for content will be one of the centerpieces of both steemit and busy.org. For now, we have to make do with what we have. And I will share with you a little trick that might help.
Because the search on busy does not cover categories, we need to find an alternative way. And this can be done through links directly in the browser.
Examples:
https://busy.org/created/horses
https://busy.org/trending/horses
https://busy.org/hot/horses
The last word in the link is the category every time. And the word before that sends you to the different ways this category is sorted. Created brings up all the new posts on this subject, trading and hot are self-explanatory.
Hopefully that this search problem will be addressed soon because we need to link our content together in order to become more coherent as a community.
I hope this helps.
