This afternoon I went to the laundromat to have the heavy towels and bedding washed and dried.
While sitting their my friend (who owns the place)offered me coffee. They served hot or sold coffee of different flavors. So I got the cold caramel Michiatto (don't know if I spelled it right)
They served with a metal straw!
nice way to stop using plastic. But I think paper straw would be better. The owner said the straws are expensive, comes in a set with it's own brush. One customer suggested that they sell the straws so each one will have their own.
It is a good idea but for me only if I know the owners and that they make sure the straws are well cleaned and disinfected. It could cause some disease. While with paper straws one use and biodegradable.
But still good that some people are trying to find ways to lessen the use of plastic.
