So I had to check when the last time I actually participated in one of these was. It looks like my 37th free write was nearly 4 months ago! I have been dabbling back onto the Steemit platform for a few days, but I think I am ready to make my full return, and I couldn't be more excited!
I definitely picked a tough prompt to return on, especially after having a few drinks with coworkers after work. The longer I sit and think about smooth as silk, I just think of that one song where the singer goes "She's as cold as Ice!" I think that is the lyric, but I'm not sure. The funny part about that is that some of you are probably shaking your head, since I'm sure that is probably a lyric from a really well renowned song that EVERYONE should know, but since I listen to rap music almost exclusively I'm just completely ignorant to what it may be. Kudos to the first person that comments what that song is :p.
I should probably start talking about silk at some point before the five minutes is up right? Those of you that remember my freewrites from before remember that I always go off the rails with the prompts a bit. I just start typing till that clock hits 5 minutes...or sometimes I go on a little longer if I got something good. Most of the time the prompts lead me to thinking about something that I haven't thought about for a really long time, or bring nice memories that I get to share with you all. Or sometimes they just make me think about how nice it is to feel silk...since it IS super smooth.
