(31.72) Prohibited Gunatilaka due to being involved in rape
Sri Lankan Board has temporarily banned Danakka Gunathilaka from all types of international cricket. SLC has filed a chargesheet against the "breach of code of conduct" even if the reasons for the punishment are not clear. There was no allegation against Guantilla. According to SLC rules, players can not bring any guest in the hotel room and at the mid-time during the match, players must return to the room. Gunatilaka has broken this code of conduct. But police and Sri Lankan cricket will be investigated further.
The complaint was going on in the Test series against South Africa on Monday. The ban came to an end after the match. The batsman does not get match fees until the end of the investigation.
