Well after the massive loopholes in the Byteball Airdrop on steemit, hackers and scammers have devised several means to hijack referral rewards and it was very very crazy.
I personally lost several rewards for referring my friends and community members to participate in the airdrop.
However, I'm glad that the Byteball team has now decided to find a final solution to this issues.
The solution is attestation via referral links and payment is no more required to complete the attestation.
In my own opinion, this should have been the perfect solution. This should have been implemented from the start.
By this, a lot of chaos would have been averted and managed properly.
Nevertheless, it was a great experience for everyone and I believe more projects will certainly carries out their Airdrops on Steemit.
