I've already written about Byteball and World Community Grid. and I've been earning Byteball for over two months. I haven't made much. I just have few dollars. But that's better than nothing and I have my self satisfaction that I helped to do real research that could end up saving million of lives down the road. You can read about the project and how to join here.
THOR Challenge 2018
It's basically just a cosmetic challenge to get more people to contribute more to the WCG project. The results can speak a lot by themselves.
This is all due to technological advancements such is Directed Acyclic Graph technoloy and excellent incentives. Just take a look at how strong Byteball team is.
World Community Grid has been around since November 16, 2004 and Byteball has only been around the project for 6.5 months. They don't even have that many members either Thee are over 754,000 active members in World Community Grid. Byteball just give you a tiny bit of crypto (you are not supposed to make profit except for price appreciation). But getting something can make it easier to give for a cause.
It's Also Making The Distribution Better
Distribution is one of the biggest problems with STEEM with its massive "Ninja Mine PoW". Byteball basically just turned their faucet into something that lead people to discover and contribute to a project that help the humanity. I've written extensively on this here
Honorable Mention: Gridcoin
They are doing the same thing Byteball is doing. The only difference is Byteball has an ecosystem with massive potential with very little competition and Gridcoin is already facing much better digital cash [rojects like Dash, PIVX, Horizen, SmartCash etc. So earning Gridcoin is not a great investment.
