This tutorial guide to setting up a byteball income is just that, a guide. It is something I am doing, and have been asked for help by others. I don't claim to be an expert at all, and don't necessarily recomend this for everyone. But if you are interested in earning a few byteballs everyday, read on. I mentioned I was doing this on my last couple of #Ulogs and had a couple requests for help, so I figured a tutorial post would be a good idea.

- Open your byteball wallet (or get one if you haven't already).
- Find the "World Community Grid Linking Bot" in the Bot store and start it up.
- It will start by asking your prefered language. Select now...
- Next will come the following message:
Click on the link and create your account. Important to note that the account name MUST be exactly as specified. You can change the WCG account name if needed or if you already have one. - At this point, go to your "Profile" page on WCG and find this section:
Make sure to select the "display my data" option. - Go back to your Byteball wallet and click the "check my account" link. If all steps so far are done correctly you should see this:
Follow that link if you wish to join the byteball team. I don't know how the bonus works, so totally optional. - To adjust your settings for personal preferences, go to the "Boinc Manager program" and click "computing preferences" from the "Tools" dropdown menu.
Change the settings to suit yourself. These are my settings, and most definitely not a recommendation. I change them regularly depending on what I am using the computer for. - Check your Byteballs wallet occasionally to see when you receive a reward. It will look something like this:
Your results will vary to this and be different each day.
Make sure to check occasionally that the BOINC manager is running. I am finding that my rewards are payed roughly every 24 hour to my byteball wallet. There are more options, choices of projects to work on and possibilities to add other computers and devices if you wish. Explore around a bit and figure out for yourself what works for you.
One piece of advice, keep an eye on your CPU temperature. If you run the processor on high settings, it can heat up a lot. Especially if your PC is older, or the CPU cooling isn't working properly. Use google to find a temperature monitoring program. I use "Core Temp" mainly because its the first one I found. Check it whenever you change settings, and occasionally to make sure you aren't overheating your CPU.

I hate seeing temps much over 70c but I am definitely not a computer expert so do your own research on this area. Please don't ruin your CPU by pushing it beyond its limits. (Link to core temp program website)
If you are looking for ways to sell your byteballs, Check out this old post of mine for one option: Guide to converting Byteballs to STEEM. Another option is provided by Steem Witness @jackmiller. Check out the account @balls2steem for info. This second option is probably a much lower fee way to go but I haven't done the math on it.
Also, I just want to note that using your computer in this way will increase its electricity use, and may cause "wear and tear" over time to your system - particularly to the CPU cooling functions. You need to take these factors into account when deciding if this is for you.
That's it, If you have followed these steps correctly you should start to receive a daily Byteball payment. Explore around the World Community Grid website or the Byteball Wiki for further information.
None of the links provided above are affiliate links. I will receive no benefit beyond this post payout. None of this information is financial advice, please do your own research.
Thanks for reading, I hope you found this information useful.
