Look what came today 👀...
That right, it’s official, I got suckered in to a Black Friday pre-sale thing. I feel unclean.
BUT, I got a ****Panasonic GH5 mirrorless camera**** that I’ve been wanting for ages.
So, it seemed good timing to get £500 off its usual price (as new) (plus a few extras, like a free lens and battery - yes please)
This camera is a mini beast for video and is capable of so much.
It’s ideal for my Ronin-S gimbal, instead of my stripped back C100mkii. Which I need to use for my general work with all the audio attachments on.
My new camera (don’t ask how many I have) shoots insane bitrates, with 10bit 4:2:2 colour, 180fps true slow motion, V-Log, internal 5-axis stabilisation, dual SD card recording, intuitive touch screen functionality (and it’s direction adjustable too), auto-focus, plus it shoots UHD 4K (consumer 4K) as well as good ol’ HD.
I’m not that bothered about the 4K but it’s nice to have.
Lots for me to to play with there.
Oh and it takes photos too.
It’s not a new model by any means, it’s been around years, but this seems like a good time for me to buy and if it doesn’t do exactly what I need to to do on my jobs then I shall probably sell it on/trade it in.
I plan to make some epic STEEM promo videos on this :)
I other news: I got a camera, the kids got the box. They seem happy with that deal 😁
