I would have to admit that the best of the best I have found in Colorado are of higher quality than the best of the best I have found in my home state, but everyone might not agree with me. The main difference I find is in the dry/cure on the buds. The best buds I've seen in Colorado are cured to the point that if you squeeze a nug in your fingers, it will break up into very sticky dust. The buds I find at home will smash and compress. So this tells me their process of moisture removal (drying and curing the buds) is a little bit more refined in Colorado. I think the growers are growing buds that can be as high quality if cured a bit more. With that said, the connoisseur grade cure on buds isn't really that common in Colorado, and their average bud is below the average quality I'm seeing now, and that is important. I think Illinois will continue to improve on what we have now.
