An easy game to play for hours and hours
If you're looking for a fun card game to play.
I can recommend the Dungeon Mayhem Series.
It is an easy-to-play, Dungeons & Dragons themed, comic style game.
Fast, easy and has provided me, and my son, hours of fun.
#Original Dungeon Mayhem
The Original pack has 4 characters; Wizard, Valkerie, Ogre Barbarian and Thief.
We generally find that the Wizard tends to win most games.
However, the randomness of drawing cards makes it an exciting challenge.
The rules are simple. The cards easy to understand. The balance between triumph and frustration make for some great combat.
We even varied the game by making our own game types; 2v2 and combining all of the cards into a shared pool.
Expansion
The first expansion was a small pack containing two characters; shape shifting Druid and a Ranger. The Ranger has a companion hamster named Boo.
The added characters were a boon for us. We tend to make a tournament of the game. So, with the extra decks we could meddle with an elimination tourney, with the losing tier having one final battle to see who could rejoin the challenge.
Monster Mayhem Expansion
Then, I read about the new expansion.
I messaged my local games store and asked him to get me a copy!
Man, was it impressive.
It comes with 6 new characters. The D&D nerd in me loves the comical style of well known monsters.
Mind Flayer, Dragon, Beholder, Owl Bear, Mimic & Gelatinous Cube!
It comes with replacement character tokens of the old characters, dividers and a tray big enough to hold ALL of the cards!
The design of the components, cards, humour, and art, all point to a very entertaining, quality game.
Our tournaments are now at the Legendary level.
Fan Creations
In doing some cursory research to do this post, I came across comic art relating to Minsc (the Ranger) & Boo.
Take a wander to look at Jim Zub's work.
