When you have a multiple cat household "7", some kind of order is necessary at feeding time. Like any group of mammals a hierarchy quickly develops.
Each cat has his/her place in dominance. But it can get complicated. Although "Mama cat" is submissive to the older males she is an aggressive eater and they let her finish what's left in their food bowls.
I feed the "4" older cats together Dexter, Mama, Larry and Curly. Curly is a bit of a prima-donna so goes down the basement at times and waits for me to bring down his food.

The other three cats, Mama's kids Bear, Gerry and Bingo are all sweeties and cause no trouble for the adults.
Deaf Gerry gets a special food to prevent kidney stones and eats on the Island counter. His sister Bingo eats on the floor away from the rest.
Then there's the "3" kittens on the porch.
Mickey and Patty ..brothers
Black Betty... brings up the rear......
Almost forgot "Scary Mary" outside. I feed her first.
