The first time when you walk down the street and see a guy with his pants sagging down halfway or more down his bottom, you might be thinking to yourself "WTF?" Later on you find out that it's a trend/fashion so to speak and you'll be like "ohhhhh that's why", but you might also wonder it's origin?
"Sagging pants is a signal for sexual availability in prison", this was told by a friend of mine who is a cop. At first I wasn't so sure about it but after thinking about it sort of make sense. My reasoning? The demographic group of people that sags their pants seems to match the demographic groups that are in prison? LOL , I don't know but it would make sense. If anyone can come up with another reason why I'd be glad to hear it :-)
