Imagine it's 5 years from now. How will you define social media, work, education, income, the creative arts? We are going to answer that, but first, lets watch this 8 second video intro I made using After Effects.

MEANING IS NOT IN WORDS.
IT'S IN BETWEEN THEM.
I have been experimenting with different content models on Steemit.

One content model I wanted to try on Medium.com is Jack Kerouac's "spontaneous prose."
I will try it now on Steemit instead.
Medium.com does not provide incentive for writers, due to one illusive problem it could never hack.

"How do you compensate writers, on a platform that favors quality content but opposes the use of ads?"
ANSWER:
Put it on the Blockchain, tie contributors in as investors, and complicated-whitepaper-the-fuck-out-of-it.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, make it work.

You can tell by the payout structure I chose for this post, I 100% support what Steemit is trying to do, and here is why:
In the words of Scott Adams, "the following is a thought experiment,"

A drone lands on your doorstep, flies away, and leaves a shipment from Amazon. An alarm-clock wakes you, raises the temperature on the thermostat, reorganizes files across all your devices, opens your garage, turns your stove on, reads your emails aloud, and then summarizes your agenda for the day. This is the Internet of Things (IoT) and merging it with code that can learn and make decisions is the current frontier in technology, and as James Barrat argues, it may also be the final invention of the human race.
The stock market had to create a specific name for the overnight-success tech IPO billionaire, “unicorns.” Crowdfunding is the rawest form of market validation. Industries emerging, like smart textiles, machine learning, hologram design, and intelligent voice recognition are innovative, and they are undoubtedly impacting how creators produce content.
Acclaimed novelist and poet, Amy Stewart, admitted to writing her last four books primarily using Google Docs voice recognition dictation tool. Microsoft Skype Translator learns as it listens, through A.I. intelligence based transcription of live calls, then superimposes captions on video chats to hack language barriers in conversation. This is the world you live in right now.
Now, imagine you are tech savvy.

You understand aesthetic design. You know C++, SWIFT, iMacros, Python, php, Ruby, Angular2, Fortran, and UNITY code to design holograms and augmented reality. You have a thorough understanding of Hadoop, SaaS, quantum cloud computing architecture, TensorFlow, the Google Deep Mind algorithm, BluePrism, and robotic process automation. You absolutely understand blockchain technology, mining, and can even create your own crypto-currency and orchestrate a successful ICO roll out.
You are the master of your own fate, capable of picking yourself up by your own bootstraps literally using Bootstrap.

Now imagine you don't know any of that but have open source tools available to do it anyway.

Decentralization naturally draws you in.

Pursuing a new definition of wealth, economy, and work-life balance, naturally draws you in.
But with these new powerful open source resources at your disposal, you don't envision independence and prosperity just for yourself.

You want to disrupt inequality.
Now let's go 5 years into the future.

You can still access every book that has ever been written for free through a Tor browser, nothing has changed there, but now you're immersed in big data analysis of the most valuable information downloaded directly to your retina display lenses, or you can just watch the game.

Imagine there is no need for civil suits, litigation fees, access to startup capital, or barriers to market entry, because contracts are self executing.

and every job, including software engineering is automated through super intelligent processes beyond your understanding,

Income is universal, where everyone's basic needs are covered because automation creates a surplus of goods and resources, and if you want anything more than what you have, you work.
"BUT WHAT IS WORK IN THIS TIMELINE?" #MandellaEffect

Imagine a robot brings you your dinner. A robot brings you your mail. A robot brings you stock for your business. A robot tells you your daily itinerary. A robot manages your portfolio. A robot teaches your children history, physics, math, the math of physics, and the history of math. A robot drives you to work, does your work and another robot programs the robot. Imagine much more is expected of you and much less is required. What will in demand work be?

You will provide the only services left by humans for humans, tasks requiring creativity, while teaching super intelligent Ai how to replace you in these tasks as well. Your job would not be to report the news; a robot would do that for you. Your job would be to provide an insightful opinion from a unique perspective; and while we all know, no idea is truly original, you would have the data available to know just how unoriginal you are and the rarer your creation the more valuable it would be.
Art is concentrated human effort and your job will be more art than science.
The highest paying jobs would go to strategists, writers, designers, singers, photographers and those jobs would be the final stand between humanity and Ai.
In an interview Mark Cuban had with Bloomberg, he speaks on this very subject pointing out that automation and machine learning has now given way to Ai programming where code intuitively improves itself beyond the comprehension of human software engineers. Similar can be seen with AlphaGo, Google Deep Mind's artificial intelligence research project, where Dr. Demis Hassabis and his staff created a self learning algorithm capable of defeating the master of the abstract strategy board game Go. The game's level of complexity has been described as the equivalent of four chess games going on together simultaneously on the same board. When a child in China is classified as a genius, they are taken out of formal schooling and placed in full-time Go study where they spend their entire lives mastering the game. Ke Jie was the reigning Go champion. He was defeated by Google Deep Mind's machine learning algorithm AlphaGo. The algorithm has been described, by Google, as a true self learning Ai. The code is available as open source for developers to build upon, and can be found on GitHub.
CREATIVE CAPITAL is an asset class

Creative processing is computing power and your hash rate is your cognitive capacity to produce ideas.
Most importantly, decentralized social media platforms built on blockchains like Steemit, that offer content creators genuine freedom to produce high quality uncensored content will evolve into socioeconomic ecosystems. Every individual will have a platform to explore the ethical and philosophical aspects of humanity that for so long have been pushed aside for an industrial agenda. With all basic needs met, people will be free to pursue their passions.
I have been experimenting with content models. How do you like this one? Don't be afraid to let me know your thoughts in the comment section. ENGAGE!
