Have you ever been in a situation when someone just saw you and yelled at you after as a result of slight provocation? They were like who what is wrong with you? Have you ever been in a situation when someone said you are very stupid for saying certain things, then you started a fight over that issue?
Everyday we are all faced with this challenges of people saying bad things or throwing bad words at us. Yesterday I wrote about the power of words and how it can affect people from within, how it could hit them mentally. Now, you can't always prevent people from saying bad things, or from yelling at you. but you can mount a kind of defence against yourself and this is the essence of this article.
Don't people say bad things about you or they behave badly to you? The best line of defence is never to take things personally, always learn to take things with a pinch of salt, like they don't matter. It is mere expression of what they feel inside, that's just the way it is. One of the key components to living a good life is looking at things without overanalyzing the situation.
So the next time you are told that you are foolish, it means that you are not, what it means is that the person that is saying this to you is actually expressing the foolishness that lies within, not necessarily you. They are looking for ways to relieve themselves off what is inside them. Do you notice that someone who is beautiful inside will always say beautiful things, and tell people how beautiful they are? Opposite is someone who is ugly inside.
From now on till eternity, learn the second agreement of life, which is never to take things personally.
Thank you, have a nice day.
