I'm back from the Caribbean and here's the first of likely several posts... which will mostly be PEOPLE photography. Because this was a trip with friends and being a cruise doesn't lend super well to scenic photography.
Almost seems like we had the Ruins all to ourselves!
Did we?
Heck no!!
There were hundreds if not thousands of tourists there at Chichen Itza that day just like probably every other day... But ... that didn't stop us from making some awesome portraits.
These ones are pretty easy ... we're close enough to the temple that you can just kinda crop everyone out. And sometimes that means in camera and sometimes afterwards in post as well.
Sometimes it just means being tricky with the foliage.
And then you hand the camera to someone and forget to show them about the focus points or turn it to closest subject focusing... woops.
Most of the time it's just about picking the side where no one is at... everyone comes in from a particular side... so makes sense that the opposite side just happens to have a lot less people.
