There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, prominent among the Jews. 2 He came to Jesus by night and said to him: Rabbi, we know that you have come from God as a teacher, because no one can do the signs that you do if God is not with him. 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is not born again can not see the kingdom of God." 4 Nicodemus said to him: How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born? 5 Jesus answered: Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is not born of water and the Spirit can not enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
I am reading a book that contains very good teachings and I want to share part of what I am learning with you.
In this world, there are many who want to be born again by believing in Jesus. But first I would like to tell you that being born again is not in us, in other words, this can not be obtained through our actions.
If you are a sower, diligent with the things of the ministry, you respect your earthly authorities, you donate money, you help the sick, the needy, you work hard in the church, let me tell you that none of those things makes you worthy to be born of new, all those who think that due to their physical emotional changes are born again, it is not like that.
Being born again is related to spiritual change, as a sinful man, to be born again is to be free of sin.
Even if you turn away from filth, we can never be born again by turning away from all that and attending the church diligently.
As Jesus said,
And the water and the Spirit are the only condition of God to be born again.
The true born again are those believers reborn through the word of God. The words of water, blood and the Spirit. But those who are not born again can not understand it as it happened to Nicodemus could not either.
John 3: 8
The wind [a] blows where it wants, and you hear its sound; but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going; that is whoever is born of the Spirit.
