Psalm 16 God Speaks Today (DHH)
** THERE IS NO BETTER INHERITANCE**
2 I told you:
«You are my Lord, my good;
nothing is comparable to you. "
3 The gods of the country are powerful,
according to those who in them are pleased,
4 those who increase the number of their idols
and follow them with great devotion.
I will never take part in your bloody sacrifices!
I will never pronounce their names with my lips!
5 You, Lord, are my all;
you fill me with blessings;
my life is in your hands.
6 A fine place has touched me in luck;
Beautiful is the inheritance that has corresponded to me!
7 I will bless the Lord, because he guides me,
and in the depths of my being he corrects me at night.
8 I always keep the Lord in mind;
with him to my right, nothing will make me fall.
9 That's why, inside me,
my heart is full of joy.
All my being will live confidently,
10 For you will not leave me in the tomb,
You will not abandon your faithful friend in the pit!
11 You will show me the way of life.
There is great joy in your presence;
there is eternal joy next to you.
