Freedom
What if I told you that you can be free? What if it was possible to get free from sin? Good news! You can! The really good news is that God has completely conquered sin! God made a way! God has paid the price for us to walk in victory over sin. He now invites us to walk into the new creation He has made us. You don't have to be a slave to sin if you don't want to! Look at the cross. It is finished! The price is paid! Sin and sickness are dealt with! God invites us to enjoy freedom in Him. Jesus tells us "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it to the full" (John 10:10).
I am a witness
A few years ago I was a heroin shooting, DMT smoking, LSD eating dope fiend. But that is in the past and all things are new. The truth about who we truly are has set me free. If you think your an addict, you'll struggle. But if you know you are a new creation in Christ, you'll live far differently. Know who you really are. Identity is everything. Live from your true identity. I am recovered! And this is why:
The divine exchange
God wants to give you the best trade ever! God wants to replace your addiction to drugs/alcohol with Himself! Abundant life is knowing God (not merely knowing about God but daily experiencing God in relationship). Not using drugs/alcohol is not good enough for me. I wanted to walk into all that God had to offer. For me, it wasn't enough to empty my life of drugs but rather to fill that void with God. Now God became my very life--not just a small part of it.
Prayer
God thank you that 2,000 years ago I was healed and delivered when you took sin upon yourself and gave me your very own life! I receive your healing and forgiveness and declare that I am healed! I am delivered! You set me free 2,000 years ago! Thank you that you did it all for me! I choose to ignore all the lies that tell me I am a sinner and believe what you say about me. The devil is a liar and I believe your truth more! Your truth has set me free! Thank you!
