Proverbs 13:22
" A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just." Amen.
It is horific but thats what's really happening in these days. Everybody is seeking for himself alone the riches of the world, forgetting about their future generation. We live a life of Me, myself and I forgetting about our futures.
Inheritance can not only be attributed to the things of the world but also that of the spiritual world. As Christians, our utmost inheritance lies not in the things of the world but in the Jesus Christ. Our sole inheritance is in heaven where we will get to enjoy the presence of the Lord. Jesus Christ gave us this inheritance and we ought to hold it dear and forward it to our future generation.
Galatians 3:29
"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
The reason for our existence is not to merely make history by making so much wealth and properties. There is a higher purpose to our lives which is to see the face of our maker one day. And as such, there is no better investment than investing our time and energy in the things that will send us there. We need to pave way for our descendants, teach others and show them the glory inside Jesus Christ.
Some people might have been born in a good Christian homes and have a headstart. Its that kind of inheritance that i am talking about today. The inheritance that can give you everlasting life. If you were not born in such a home, you can make sure your children have that benefit you never had. You can make their inheritance for them.
Beloved, what inheritance are you leaving for the people close to you? Is it money, Jesus, Fame or what have you. Today, i tell you this, there is no better inheritance than the kingdom of God. Lets pave way for our children, our societies and everyone at large.
