Laying on the floor with a pillow behind my head, (because I do that sometimes) watching a movie. Then I’m out like a light, dead asleep. Have you ever been woke up by a Christmas Tree falling on you? Neither have I until last night, or rather this morning at 12:30am. My Daughter is gonna be pretty upset when she wakes up. Mama Splatts and her did an amazing job… well now they get to do it again. I guess the first time decorating the Christmas tree was just for practice…

I didn’t know what the hell was going on. All I knew is I had a dang Christmas tree laying on the lower half of my body. How in the world did this thing fall over?? It had been standing with all the ornaments on it for hours!! I mean, feast your eyes on this beauty of a Christmas Tree.

Now, after the great fall, it’s not looking too good. Looking a little roughed up wouldn’t ya say. LOL

Why the fan? Well I had just filled the tree stand to the top with water. Can’t be letting this tree dry out. So ya, when she took the big dive on top of me, all that water came dumping out. Most of it stayed on the white furry rug we used as a tree skirt. As I took the rug outside water was pouring off of it leaving a trail all the way to the sliding glass door. It took 5 bath towels to soak up as much water as I could from the carpet. As I was blotting up the water from the carpet, the SOB fell on my again. WTH!!
Trying to be quiet and not wake anyone, I was scrambling around to cleanup this mess. I don’t know how I avoided stepping on the broken glass shards in the carpet.

This really sucks! The 2 ladies of the house did such a killer job loading up this tree with ornaments. Maybe too good of a job… must have been a little heavy on the one side, ya think?? LOL

I guess I’m gonna have to reset the tree in the stand with some lean back into the corner. Anchor it to the wall maybe… I’m still baffled how it stood there for probably 4-5 hours without falling over. Then it decides to fall on me…
I’m still a little traumatized but I’m sure I will get over it and our tree will come back looking better than it did before. It’s kind of a life lesson…
