I have been using Musescore 2.0 software to do my music scores. I transcribe songs like Dark Side, Baby Shark, Rewrite the Stars, etc.
I spent about one year to familiarize with the software (about once or twice a week) exploring the software and trial-&-error doing the Notation.
The best thing is that the software is free download from here: Musescore 2.0. Unlike other softwares in kind that needs purchase like Finale, Sibelius and etc. They are not cheap.
The problem of using Musescore is that they used terms that is not so friendly to people who seldom use the computer. Sad to say, many piano teachers seldom use computers in class.
Sometimes I used the software to train students. Teaching them what I know is the best thing I can share.
The website of Musescore 2.0 has other people's composition and transcription too. Therefore it is very useful where to find music scores for students. However, some notations were wrongly typed or some were out of tune.
In conclusion, I prefer my own transcription. I prefer to do my own music scores and I prefer teaching my own versions to my students.
