Hello there! Here's my entry for the weekly contest hosted by @josejirafa. If you wanna join the contest, please check the link here.
Way back in college , I remember my thick and expensive book which is obligatory to bring everyday in one of my major subjects. It's heavy and I don't used to wear bag lol! Another good olds days , was the snacks outside our school! Me and my friends loves to eat banana or sweet potato que with juice! Affordable for students. In one week we never miss this home made "mami" a Filino food made with noodles soup, added some meat, string onions, eggs and some other ingredients. I miss those foods lol!
Let's proceed to my materials and procedure on how I made my art. In this project I used modeling clay. Materials that I used are; modeling clay and stainless ruler only for cutting the design.
Here's my working progress:
For the book - I just used blue and yello clay. Flatten the blue clay that may serve as your book cover and cut it in a rectangular shape using stainless ruler or cutter. Then make a shape of another thick yellow clay and form it into rectangle as your pages and attach the cover and it's done.
For the sweet potato - Just roll 3 pieces of small yellow clay and flatten a little. Take a toothpick and your snacks is done.
For the bowl - take a black clay, and form a round shape. Take some cylinder object and press it gently in the middle of your round shape black clay until you will achieve the bowl you desire.
For the mami ingredients- take a yellow clay. Flatten it and cut a small pieces of strips as your noodles. When you're done, you can now design your mami noodles. Put all the noodles in the bowl, then add some green clay, brown and red.
The project is done!
I'm nominating @ohkaaay, @ediah,@olivia08,@mermaidvampire and @cinderz to join this contest. If you can't make it this week, you can always check for the next week's theme.
Thanks for dropping by! Have a nice day and catch you next time!
