Am Samstag, den 31. August, meinem letzten offiziellen Urlaubstag ging ich mit meiner Freundin Penny Fox zur Donauinsel, um Zigarettenstummel zu sammeln. Sie nannte die Aktion sehr treffend "Stummel Marsch" und es kamen ein paar Leute über Facebook dazu. Das nächste Mal werden wir euch auch hier über die Blockchain einladen! ;)
On Saturday, August 31st, my last official day of vacation, I went with my friend @pennyfoxme to the Danube Island to collect cigarette butts. She called the action to the point "Butt Walk" and some people joined us through Facebook. Next time we will invite you also here through the blockchain! ;)
Seit meinem 30. Geburtstag habe ich aufgehört zu rauchen. Deswegen war es für mich auch Teil der Therapie bei der Aktion der World Trash Foundation mitzumachen. Es hat gut funktioniert. Nach so einem Stummel Marsch hat man nicht unbedingt Lust, eine zu rauchen. Es ist unglaublich, wie viel wir gefunden haben. Ich nahm mir einen Handschuh und ein Sackerl mit.
Since my 30th birthday I quit smoking. That's why it was part of my therapy to join & participate to this action of @steemworldtrash. It worked. After a Butt Walk like that you don't feel the joy to smoke again. It's unbelievable how much we found. I took a glove and plastic bag with me.
Es war sehr heiß und wir schwitzten schon nach wenigen Minuten. Es war keine Wolke am Himmel und die Sonne brannte unerbittlich auf uns nieder. Gut, dass Penny extra für uns Makava (der uns gesponsort wurde, danke dafür nochmal!) und Becher mitgebracht hatte. So konnten wir uns zwischenzeitlich bei Techno Mucke von der schweißtreibenden Arbeit erholen und kleine Pausen einlegen.
It was really hot and after some minutes we were already sweating. There was no cloud in the sky and the sun was burning without mercy. Good, that @pennyfoxme brought us some Makava (which was sponsored for us, thank again!) and some cups. This way we could recover between the hard work with some Techno Music and make some small breaks.
Nach zwei Stunden und drei Kilometern waren wir fix und foxy, aber auch stolz gemeinsam über 10.000 Stummel gesammelt zu haben.
After two hours and 3km we were completely done and proud that we collected more than 10.000 butts together.
