Any educated, rational person not prone to conspiracy theories knows that climate change is a real danger that is having disastrous effects now. Even if you have concerns about the data collected and analyzed by thousands of the world's scientists, don't you want a world with cleaner air, water and soil, while reducing long-term energy costs?
Technology is going to play a vital role if we are ever able to achieve a healthier, more balanced climate and planet. Here I want to highlight three technologies that would go a long way towards that goal.
- Hydro-wheel that can pump water for miles with no electricity. Sure, most pollution takes place in urban areas. However, urban areas have swollen, in part at least, due to the lack of economic opportunities in rural areas. This shift has also caused problems like poverty in much of the developing world. Hydro-wheels can provide better irrigation, less man power and more success giving rural workers stable incomes, while using no electricity.
Called the Barsha Pump, it is installed in rivers where running water gives the technology force to get the job done. Watch the video below with English captions.

- The SmartFlower appears to be futuristic art, however, it has a very important purpose. The SmartFlower consists of several solar panels that open up to create what looks like a flower with metallic pedals. The company behind the technology claims power collected can produce enough energy for a three-four person household.

- Whirlpool turbines alone are just soothing to watch. What's better is that they actually can run houses 24/7. Actually, the technology created by a Belgian company can power dozens of houses at a time. Watch the video below with English captions.
