Cold Turkey, drawn by yours truly, quite some time ago.
The oviraptors* had been at it again,
realized Hypersensitivosaurus,
after he had opened his fridge, in the morning.
Not only had they taken his precious Gouda cheese,
they had also robbed him off his eggs
and his cold brew.
The rest of the morning he spent shivering, in bed, without food and without coffee.
He wondered if his feathered friend, Cold Turkey, felt like this every single day.
If so, the poor thing must have been suffering loads.
Not much of a life, if you asked him.
(Y)our favorite giant lizard had daymares of all kinds of food,
including a raspberry pie.
And the worst thing of all,
was that his buddy Mild-Mannered Wolf,
wolfed down the entire thing in front of his starving friend´s face,
not even thinking of offering him a piece.
Hypersensitivosaurus rolled around in his bed,
sweating like ( an ) otter and feeling otterly utterly miserable.
He was holding a pity party for days to come
and nobody was invited.
*oviraptors are known as egg robbing dinos, if you believe dinosaurs have actually existed
Mon ami @samstonehill recently composed an interesting post on that topic, that gave me mixed feellings Dinosaurs never existed but our divine creator is alive and well
And now back to my story...
It was inspired by me going cold turkey on coffee, today, for the umptieth time.
Quite a challenge for a hypersensitive non-lizard human like me.
Let´s say that Portugal´s #1 beverage seems to affect my health ( physical and probably also mental ) more than I like to admit. A homeopathic remedy that I´ve started taking, days ago, gave me the final push. Although my homeopath told me that I could keep drinking my morning coffee if I took the remedy at night, my body and mind told me otherwise. Let´s see if I can pull it off this time.
For more background info on The Cold Turkey character in my Hypersensitivosaurus Stories, I invite you to read this post from three months ago: How to Not write a book - The story Behind Hypersensitivosaurus ' Part 1 ' cold Turkey
And here´s another fun fact: aside from cold turkey - a big running bird - the oviraptors, mild-ḿannered wolf and otter, that I briefly mention, are all characters in my dino stories / dinoverse.
And, last but not least, I am typing all of this on my freshly acquired and installed ( it arrived yesterday ) Raspberry Pi 400, a mini computer built into a keyboard ( and hooked up to an old TV ).
Hence the raspberry pie appearance in Hypersensitivosaurus´ daymare ;<)
By now, my lower back and neck are hurting more than my cold turkeying head - I have to work on a healthier set up / workspace.
TO BE CONVINUED...
P.S. And Then I almost forget what else inspired this write up and its title:
as pictured below, I bought some eggs with Hive.
Not literally (yet), but suffice to say that I asked my neighbors if I could get a couple of eggs from their happy chickens, every week, if they´d any to spare. And yesterday they brought me 6 fresh eggs. I am about to open a Hive wallet for my neighbor, I talked him into this, and he will be paid in Hive or Hive Backed Dollars for his eggs ( and possible other services - he is a handy man ) from now on.
I plan to set up more and more little deals like this. It feels good, now more than ever.
