Sometimes it takes a couple of days of being sick, to see how beautiful the world/ life/ nature actually is. Cliché, I know, but true.
I really enjoyed my morning walk, seeing the fruit trees blossom, feeling the rain drops on my face and witnessing the swallows and other little birds enjoying the wind and probably catching some small tasty insects ( without Klaus Schwaab telling them to eat ze bugz ). I marvelled at the clouds, the colors of the landscape around me and loved feeling the wind on my face and the fresh air filling my lungs.
I also had a laugh saying "bom dia!" to two sheep making it look like boooooooooooommmm y beeeeeeeeemmmmm dia,
while the creatures looked at me sheepishly.
I doubt they understand Portuguese.
Before you continue reading, just know that this is somewhat of a follow up to:
Cold Turkey - A Hypersensitivosaurus Story
Or, to rephrase that and cut to the chase:
I once again quit coffee.
I am now at the end of day 3, without a single café.
And I like to think that is was worth 48 hours of headaches, night sweats and feeling pretty lethargic and extremely low on energy for two long days.
I also, intentionally, took no painkillers.
I have been through this process before and I am stronger now.
I can do this!
And, the cool thing is, that I now have a podcast too,
another place, outside of my blog, where I can channel these feelings into inspiration. A space where I can reach an even larger audience and let my actual 'voice' be heard.
So, earlier this afternoon, I recorded another episode, that you can listen to, on Spotify here:
Hypersensitivosaurus Goes Cold Turkey - Again
It's also nice to find out that my podcast gained some serious traction after I decided to add the RSS-feed to Fountain.
People are now able to listen to it there and send me sats ( and or a comment ) in a so-called 'boost'. Fountain is a value for value platform, not unlike Hive, but definitely unlike old giants like Twitter, Fb, IG, etc that only make money on their customers(' data ), unless you're famous, whatever that means.
Check my stats skyrocket in the last couple of days:
From barely a handful of listens a day uptill 30 plus listeners.
In all honesty, it helps that my podcast was visible in the top 3 of new lightning podcast for a couple of hours, in the Fountain app. It felt good, I must admit, to see my friendly gremlin raptor, up there, for a while. He seemed to be at ease.
And let's be honest, who wouldn't click on this one of the three, right? ;<)
So, to make a long story not much longer, I haven't been sitting still, since I wrote my last Hive post. I have been lying down a lot though. But I also manage to churn out not one but two podcast episodes, one of them hours before I fell sick and another one, today, just after I recovered.
I'm not 100% there yet but I really appreciate the small things, once again.
If you haven't given my podcast a listen as of yet, I invite you to do so. Even if you arent'on Spotify or Fountain, you can listen to it by clicking on the following link, without having to open an account:

No more excuses! ;<)
TO BE CONVINUED as my life is a neverending story
Oh and before I forget, if you ever managed to quit coffee, after having been addicted for decades ( more than half a life time ), let me know how that went for you
