Why Cohen May be a Secret Trump Plant or Not
If you are a lawyer with essentially 1 client, Donald Trump, would you sacrifice your career for the greater good? What if your President asked you to? What would it involve? Well, for one you would know that Trump would have the entire establishment gunning for him.
Cohen's wife's family is from Russia and a Russian Oligarch pays money to Cohen's company as well through a firm that he owned. But AT&T had major dealings that need Federal approval and their payment's to Cohen look like bribes to some without explanation. Cover Story? or True?
That task is to expose hypocrisy. Get these media slime balls on tape. Make sure that you talk about Trump so that the Trump lawyers would have access to them if these tapes got into the investigation against your former boss. So where do we begin to unpack this story?

Reading this story brings doubt into the "secret mission scenario." So where are we now?
Next we see that while Cohen has spent much of his time during the 1st year of the Trump administration in Washington with the Republican Party financial side of things; he has never received that plush Administration job that he supposedly desired. Cover Story? Or True?
What hook do we use to garner Mueller's attention? Lets create a shell corporation and use it to pay past girlfriends for their story rights. This was in October 2016 before the election.
This is key because after the election AT&T and other interests pay into this firm.

After reading this background, it looks like Cohen is a "go-getter" and is always hustling more money into his coffers through multiple business deals. But was he selling his position within the Trump inner circle? There is a lot of smoke there. Very swampy IMO.
The argument for cover story is sound. Just enough smoke to get Mueller's attention. Then if you make provocative claims in the media, they will make you a "darling" so long as it looks like you have the goods that will take Donald Trump down. We are here now. What is the dope?
Well if there is no "Secret Mission Role" the Trump team got pretty lucky with what has been revealed so far. Cohen has tapes on every one to include Trump. But the Trump stuff is all innocent or non criminal at the least. The media elites are shaking in their boots though.
What do I believe as of today? Cohen is trying to help Trump, as he has a loyalty to him. New York State has had it in for him, Cohen, for some time and now that the Feds are involved it is throwing Cohen into interesting waters. He will get busted for something, in time.
Probably be fined if he was a Democrat. Wait, he is a Democrat. He even worked on some election campaigns for a few Democrats running for President. Too bad Trump Derangement Syndrome will nix his "Party" card. Cohen is a Trump Democrat. I have mixed emotions here.

The Trump team probably know enough about Cohen to keep Cohen neutral on Trump's role in anything. But this could drag into the 2020 elections and have an impact there. But with 4.1 percent growth and other smart moves, Trump will have the last laugh.
