Digitalis purpurea - Purple Foxglove
This is a photo I took last summer whilst hiking. It is one of the few times I've managed to pull off the focusing just right, so that the subject pops against a soft background.
It was taken just after a shower had passed so there were a few drops of fresh rain still laying on the petals.
