Some information about this beautiful plant
Pachystachys is a plant of tropical species of the Acanthov family, its native land is India and southern America. It is known about twelve varieties of a flower, some of them are successfully grown at home.
The plant is similar to a bush, with a tree-like stalk, on which dark green leaves and flowers are like torches. For two centuries, his fame among the florists has not diminished, he grew up in peasant homes and noblemen's estates. In countries where the climate resembles the tropics, they are planted with flower beds, parks and squares.
Nowadays in the wild nature a flower can be found on the Australian continent, in India and South American countries, where the tropical climate prevails.
When India was colonized, many different exotic plants were brought to Europe by travelers and seafarers. To the local climate, these plants were not habitual, so they were grown in rooms. So botanical gardens were created, where plants from tropical countries were grown. Many of them took root in the home. When a movie appeared, plants from the tropics began to be used as decorations.
