A human father and a royal mother from Atlantis created Namor, The Sub-Mariner. The end of 2022 ushered in Christopher Cantwell's story "Conquered Shores" in Marvel's "Namor, The Sub-Mariner" #1. As two bandits found out, any thing taken from the ocean is stealing from Namor. The Kree had laid waste to the Earth and the ability to breathe clean air, at least on land. What is basically left safe is Namor's oceans.
Namor has stepped down from his throne so that his younger cousin Namorita can rule these now peaceful waters. While his territory is quiet, there is trouble on "Dry Man's Land." Captain America is really trying to keep the peace, even while people are dying. While Captain America is trying to be diplomatic with Namor, Luke Cage doesn't have that kind of patience. All the while Namor explains that the land's problems are out of his hands. Maybe, the Human Torch can calm the situation.
The artwork of Pasqual Ferry and Matt Hollingsworth paints some very cold and hot pictures of the different territories. Move over Avatar. This book came out at the right time due to Namor's appearance in the Black Panther's sequel. Once again, is Namor going to be a hero or remain an enemy of those on land?
