Every time I return to issues of the Hulk, I am always amazed how the stories keep evolving deeper into the realm of Science Fiction and Horror. The same can be said when I picked up "Hulk" #10 (or Legacy #777). I want whatever writers Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley are smoking when they conceived "Hulk Planet" Part Two. We already know that the Hulk is divided into three unique sections. His entire body is operating as a Starship vessel. Bruce Banner is inside the Hulk's mind steering this ship. The Hulk's anger is the fuel that is needed to power this vessel.
Banner explained to Thor that his body was hijacked by Titan sending Hulk on a collision coarse full of unnecessary violence. Giving Hulk an opportunity to try to heal his fractured psyche, Thor spread the news that our favorite green anti-hero is no longer with us. This is when Hulk finds a Gamma-strengthened planet and meets the Monolith. The outstanding artwork of Cliff Rathburn, Sonia Oback, Marte Garcia and Cory Petit take us on a journey inside the mind of the Hulk.
Banner's mom taught him as a child to always look for his shadow. The young child couldn't find it in the police station after his father murdered his mom. Hulk is told how he saved the inhabitants of this planet by bringing Gamma to their world. They were once savages. Hulk begins recalling events from previous issues and the destruction of Hammer Satan. It is revealed toward the end of the issue that these like-minded Gamma-infused beings know something devastating about the future of Bruce Banner. This news could turn the Hulk's world upside down!
