When it comes to comics, superheroes are the first thing which comes to everybody's mind. The comics are not for just kids anymore. An example is "The Killing Joke", "Batman: Under the Red Hood". This is definitely not the comics you can let your 10 year old to read.
Comics contains reference to torture, rape, extreme violence and what not.
Comics are not a fun place to be anymore. It does have great stories, but mostly depressing.
We have lost the fun somewhere.
