Friends! I have finally created a website for my partner's spoon carving business:
I am very excited about launching our very own website for Om Forest Crafts. With this new website I plan on sharing more about the spoon-carving process, writing about the trees we work with and areas that these spoons come from. We had been selling on Etsy as Om Forest Crafts previously, but wanted more power over how we shared and showed our hand-carved goods.
This website provides us with a multi-functional and adaptable storefront, as well as a place for sharing writing and photography. The creative opportunities abound. The site has already made a sale, and we are so very grateful and ambitious for the time ahead of us.
While it's not on a blockchain or utilizing crypto, it is a huge step forward for us in terms of managing how we present our creations and content. I would love if folks that are more technologically advanced than I would be willing to share insights on web design-- especially any tips or tricks for smooth desktop to mobile integration.
Austin has some beautiful spoons in the works, and I believe that this website will inspire him to spend more of his free time carving. Recently he has been waking up and roughing out blanks or finishing up spoons before going to work at the nature center. In a short time I should be more efficient at uploading and stocking the hand carved crafts in the online storefront.
For now, I would love for y'all to check out the site and send some feedback (here on steemit or via the site contact forms). We have a few spoons still in stock, and plan on adding more tomorrow. There is a nice gallery of the available goods that are soon to be stocked along the bottom of the website. If you do end up seeing something you love that isn't yet listed, jut send us a message to reserve it.
I plan on continuing with my personal steemit account alongside our new website. I truly believe this community has some quality in-depth engagement. The ability to create personalized content on steemit has been very refreshing, and I appreciate the ability for creative output.
In addition to this, I continue to check the notifications for all Steemit Hospitality Engagement Platform on a twice daily basis. If you didn't see, I last posted a "Behind the Scenes" on the @s-h-e-p account to bring a bit more clarity to the platform's organization as of late, including @kin-shep and @shep-heard.
If you don't know what the Steemit Hospitality Engagement Platform is, check out these posts:

Everything is in place for people to begin utilizing this 'community board' of hospitality exchange. Simply tag your hospitality request posts with #kin-shep or #shep-heard depending on your situation, and your posts will be sorted and curated accordingly, available for the world to respond to.
I did recently write from this personal account about maybe getting a job at a local eatery. I'm very happy to say that not only am I hired, they willing to work with my schedule. Now I will have some financial backing to pay for monthly bills as well as start a savings for future travels. Thanks to everyone who gave some input on that last article, I definitely felt the community support.
Thank you all for reading and engaging with this post!
Till next time,
be sweet, stay wild
