I've been working on a few new approaches that I'll post about separately soon, but in the process I got a reply on this post as well as a downvote from @miketr
Then, I was even more surprised that he wrote this post calling me out as a spammer who begs for upvotes.
I offered what I thought was a thoughtful response, but @miketr offered these comments.
the community will agree with you or me
As I said the communty then decides
also the community can you upvote now - if they trust you??!
Do you trust me? I guess I'm again asking for upvotes, the very behavior I am criticized for.
Would you consider going to this post and upvoting one of these comments.
This will let @miketr know how the community feels about @duplibot. And feel free to skip voting on this post if you vote my comments there!
I did think it was a little unfair to ask 'the community' how they feel about me--in the comments of his post--as the audience there would likely have an obvious bias for him. This post is to get the whole community involved in the discussion.
I suppose if I am wrong, you can all downvote me but that would more than surprise me because I've seen overwhelming support thus far and very few flags. That said, please comment here if you hold a negative view on my work as I continually look to the community for validation. I will not continue if there is not clear support for my work.
And finally, I know that, "Haters gonna hate" but I'm also looking for suggestions on how to respond to aggression such as this.
