It's Wednesday ! The work week is halfway through. Yay !
It's been so much better and so much happier for me around here since I got off the billing customer service phones for work ! I don't mind working now and the day goes almost fast. Not sure how long the "goes almost fast" will last, but for now.... it's all good.
This morning I was just getting settled into my work desk. I had my tall water glass, my coffee, my granola thingy already there. I had my back pillow in place and my lap blanket and had just logged on. I turned around for something and noticed Big Sunny was shining from the hall.
Hmmmmmmm..... the hall has no windows. It is a short hall, but without the overhead light on, it is normally a bit dark.
I was compelled to take it's photo. I didn't figure I could capture it's glow and well, it's really not as bright looking in the photo. Then I was compelled to go see what was going on and take photos as I went. LOL....what?
Big Sunny as I call it, is not so much one of my better pieces of art. I keep it though, like several others, because they were created as I was beginning to paint more, somewhere around 2012. It took many changes before it landed like it is now and I think I finally gave up trying to figure out how to make it really lovable to me at the time. I think it's little saving grace is how boldly colored it is, making it really POP wherever I put it. It brings Big happy Sunny wherever it hangs so it grew on me over time..... but... back to the hall.
That stained glass lamp behind it? It's NOT on !
Big sunny is not facing any windows, it is across from the washer/dryer nook in my hall.
Somehow though, the sun that was coming in the window lites in the top of my front door was SO intense.....
.... that it was reflecting off the wall across from the door and then reflecting into the hall, onto the wall Big Sunny is on.
It was kind of neat how it lit Sunny up when the light was just bouncing off an opposite wall.... off of the light background of my 80's wallpaper and metal poppy decor. The light is so intense that one poppy blossom is nearly totally wiped out in the photo above.
I think Big Sunny liked it.
I know I did !
Hope you are all doing well, having a good week and that your hearts are happy.
