Dear Global School supporter,
Thank you all for joining me as part of the @globalschool campaign to support steem education, blockchain awareness and close this year 2018. It is great to see how engaged and excited you are about the upcoming year. I am too.
As you've seen in our 2017-18 Program, mobilizing people around the world offline is one of the most important things we can do to ensure quality contribution on the Internet and specially on the #blockchain to becomes stronger and reaches further.
To make this happen I'm thrilled to announce that @bertille-aa will join the Global School mid of January, 2019 in the newly created role of International Program Manager. In this position, she will be responsible for coordinating the organization’s operational outputs and for overseeing the alignment of the Global School’s work with its strategic goals and objectives.

Some of you may already know Bertille (@bertille-aa). I know her from the time she showed up in Vienna, where she spent a time at Hug Inn. After that, she was developing the Global Village project in Germany during her exchange in 2017/2018, while she was learning Cross-cultural Management, at the university of Würzburg where she was team leader and managed a multicultural team in charge of an event raising awareness against prejudices and stereotypes.
Then, she started her Master at the University of Caen from where she decided to join us to bring together the various stakeholders to address Global School Challenges.
She'll be based in Vienna for 3 months.
To that end, I'd like you all to join Bertille (@bertille-aa), Mammasitta (@mammasitta), PennyFox (@pennyfoxme), Manuel (@gexi), Christoph (@manncpt) and myself on a small intro event in mid-January (to launch the winter camp, see more in the crowdfunding campaign where the tickets of the camp will be accessible soon!) to talk to each other so that together, we can create more social impact around the world in ensuring that the Global School is for everyone. The details for this call will be circulated separately, so please watch out for those in due course.
PS: @bertille-aa already published some of her amazing adventures on her blog. She is planning to write soon more about the last months and her arrival in Vienna! Do not forget to follow her, upvote and resteem her posts to support her contributions. =)
See you on the Blockchain,
Jean
