The last 30 hours have been fairly eventful and adventurous in ways that are uninspiring. It started with me observing that all the rewards I accumulated last week were getting reversed with Downvotes and I had to start digging around to know the exact reason why something like that would happen. I believe it always happens for a reason.
In case you are new here, have a look at this post and this additional post from @hivewatchers. I got the posts when I stepped into their channel and you might want to give those a read. You will spot some of the reasons someone can get on their radar or even get blacklisted.
In my case, here are some of the posts I got Downvotes on;
Now, the question is; why did these get into the blacklist of Hivewatchers? I dug around and got to know that it's because of the curation I've been getting on my posts and comments from the Hive reward pool through the HIQ curation project on Hive.
When I found and did my research about the HIQ project, part of the thing I learned is the use case attached to having stakes of their community token. The token is HIQS (listed on Hive engine) and those that have up to 10HIQS staked can call their bot using the "! + quote" (no spacing) command to be curated by the project and their curation trail.
Getting their curation and the number of times you can use the command each day is usually dependent on their voting mana and the number of HIQS you have staked. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, especially during the HIQS discount sale which is run by the community, I buy and stake some of their tokens on my @warrablog. And, I use the command on my content to get their curation.
As it stands, my account is blacklisted for this reason and it is considered as "farming Hive's reward pool".
I tried to get in touch with the project and I got some feedback from them. It appears they are currently working on readjusting the function of their curation bot and readjusting the pattern of their vote. Well, all these are by the way. I hope they sort it out.
In my case, I'm writing this as an apology to Hive Community and I've already talked with people I shilled the project to. I hope they tread carefully when using the command and this isn't to shit on the HIQ project. Nope.
However, once this apology post is reviewed and approved, I will go ahead and unstack all the HIQS tokens I have. I don't think anything is worth dragging my reputation through the mud. Also, I would have to be more careful in my activities on the Blockchain henceforth because I detest having to put myself and people who have their trust in me in situations where they would have to see me go through this walk of shame again.
For the record, this post will live on my record on the Blockchain forever. It's not going to be deleted because I believe history is there to teach us lessons.
Writing this post is part of the conditions I got from Hivewatchers to appeal the blacklist. If this gets a go-ahead, the next 15 days of my activity on the blockchain will be done with declined rewards. It wouldn't change my activity level though. I will still be as active as ever.
This could be an opportunity to learn a thing or two about OBS, Livestreaming, and podcasting. I will keep y'all updated about my progress on it.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
