Can we ban plastic from our lives ?

Hello dear Steemians,
I try so hard to ban plastic trashes from my life but it requires a damned hard new way of organise daily.
I know we can make Art (as on the picture, a piece from my daughters'school), and even routes with plastic but... I feel sad, more and more, each time I think of it. It is everywhere I look !!!
We don't heritate the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
I see a big clean up movement, especially concerning oceans and it gives me hope (isn't stupid and cute at the same time?).
I consider Steemians people interested in the future of mankind, aware of new technologies, wanting to share in a new way. So... I am asking this as a birthday present (this is my 30st year on this planet)...
